Description
Carrot oil is also called carotene oil – thanks to the content of over 600 carotene varieties, it is used as a natural self-tanner and gives the skin a warm, matte brown colour of fresh tan after the first use. It activates the physiological functions of the skin and restores its elasticity, softness and smoothness.
It works against wrinkles and regenerates thanks to the content of vitamins A, B, C, E and F rich in minerals and fatty acids and protects against harmful UV rays, which is why carrot oil is ideal as a tanning oil. Easy to spread, immediately after applying the oil, the skin has a visible, beautiful tan.
Carrot oil in the cosmetics industry is used as an addition of emulsions, balms for dry, flaky, mature skin as well as an additive to protective creams or cosmetics after tanning. The oil has an exciting, calming effect, improves cell division, prevents wrinkles.
It can be diluted with another oil, e.g. sweet almond oil. Then we avoid too intense darkening of the skin, but also a more even colour. The oil can be added to dissolved shea butter, babassu or coconut oil, but also finished lotions, creams, etc.
Important: Carrot oil should be tightly sealed and stored without air and light. It is designed for quick wear as it is very sensitive to oxygen and light. When in contact with clothes, it may get dirty in orange.
