Composition: our white kaolin clay is a clay mineral with the chemical composition: Al2Si2O5(OH)4. It is usually soft, white and very earthy. Kaolin clay is a simple phyllosilicate mineral created by weathering other minerals such as feldspar. In nature, the mineral often interacts with iron, occasionally acquiring a cream to reddish colour. Kaolin, which has a low or no iron content, is predominantly pure white.
